EPCOR would like to celebrate the values of Dr. Grant MacEwan, his contribution to rural Albertans, and recognize students who:
- demonstrate his beliefs in conservation
- have been involved in a project focussed on protecting the environment and/or
- have been involved in a project that has resulted in the betterment of their community (Leaving the vineyard better than they found it).
These awards will focus on students entering MacEwan University from areas outside the metropolitan areas of the capital city region and metro-Calgary.
Criteria
- Awarded to students entering MacEwan University for the first time into a full-time certificate, diploma, applied degree, baccalaureate or University Transfer program.
- Eligible students will be from outside the capital city region and metropolitan Calgary. Priority will be given to applicants from rural areas.
- Students must demonstrate their participation in activities that work towards conservation, the care and tending of natural resources and/or improving the communities in which they live.
- Applicants must provide two (2) letters of reference.
Disbursement Criteria
For funds to be disbursed, successful applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course load and be in good academic standing.
